Help, my flight is not
valid (allways red smile) ! |
|
|
First: make sure that you do not mix Software. Just use only one
software for scoring.
Reason is, if you read your GPS for example with GPSDump and
score your flight with "SeeYou OLC-Direct" feature ... Software
SeeYou will automatic add some stuff to your IGC Track during
upload. So IGC file is not longer "original". IGC File is for
this example, manipulated by SeeYou.
Solution: Read your GPS direct with SeeYou 2.7 and higher
releases.
Second: Some developers, like MaxPunkte, GPSDump ... will give
you a download option for a Validation program.
The OLC Server is using the same Validation program. It's easy
for you to verify your IGC file itself before you upload it to
OLC. |

Where I get help for my
specific flight claim, because of red error messages ? |
|
|
Your local national competition coordinator or coordinator-team
is responsible over eMail for you.
If there is a official TEAM - EMAIL ALIAS, please use official
Alias only !
This will make sure that anyone can answer in short time.
A private eMail to just one coordinator ... will maybe not
readed several weeks ! |
|
|
|
|
|
But what is with my
Software, I have? Who can help me to download GPS and claim
flights ? |
|
|
Since the competition coordinators do not have the source code
of the program itself, only the developer or developer team can
help.
So if you have Questions to SeeYou, ask SeeYou-Team. If you have
questions to CompeGPS, ask CompeGPS Team. If you have questions
to MaxPunkte please ask MaxPunkte developer ...
Some developers provide it's own readme and help files. Look at
the webpage of your software for any Online-Help before asking
the developers.
Some Pilots around you, maybe Pilots at your local club can
assist you to read GPS and claim flights.
At OLC Home page we have a
Download link, to a good documentation (PDF) for you.

Can I change my club ? |
|
|
It's not fair to change during season, if you have allready
submitted flights. That's why the rules are say no to that.
Before you submit your first flight at October every year, you
have the chance to change your club membership.
You, the pilot itself, must do that. At your personal data page,
after you login to register for the running season.
For any problems arround that, your national coordinator team is
responsible for it. |
|
|
|
|
|
I have only global
Aeroclub Membership, can I enter to a club during season ? |
|
|
If local national rules allow that, yes.
Ask your national competition coordinator team. |
|
|
|
|
|
Can I sent my GPS or my
Track Data to OLC Team, so that the coordinators will do the job
for me ? |
|
|
No. Normaly the competition coordinators have
not the time to claim flights complete for you.
There are thousands of pilots attending OLC and just few
coordinators.
Due to Airspace checks at OLC server, a coordinator cannot
answer the OLC server question if you have clearnce or not. You
must claim your flight itself or maybe a pilot at your club will
assist you if you have problems. |
|
|
|
|
|
Damn! I made mistakes.
How can I change something at my claimed flight ? |
|
|
Quite easy.
During the allowed timeframe to claim a flight, you can change
anything, including erasing your flight and claim a new one ...
How? Just click on "edit" link and use your password to reload
your flightclaim.
You will find "edit" at your
"Flight Info" Page over "Daily score".
Believe me ! You can change anything at you personal flightclaim
!
Including new IGC filenames ... new igc upload ... new
manufacture and glider name ... the region, startplaces, better
optimized coordinates ...

I get an error message
saying my file has already been used by another competitor.
What does this mean, and how can I fix it? |
|
|
Your software has created a filename which is
not unique, and another competitor has already used that
filename.
Solution: simply rename your .igc filename using the short .igc
format, where the filename has one digit for year, one for
month, one character (0-9, A-V) for the day, then 5 characters
for the pilot's name and flight number.
So, a valid filename for a flight made on July 30th, 2004, by
pilot SAM is 47UxSAM1.igc. |

Help, my flight is only
visible at daily score and not on ranking lists. |
|
|
There can be different reasons for that.
The main reason is, if this yellow icon
is displayed
at flightclaim, validation is not finished yet. So that's the
reason that this flight is not added to the ranking lists.
Please wait a while and if Icon ist still yellow after 24hours
please inform OLC Team.
The other reason is, you mean flight is not visible at national
ranking. But international 6 flights is ok.
Please have a look into your flight again and look for filled
region (country). It can be, that this flight was not started at
your home country as it is required to have at minimum 1 flight
started in your country. |
