There is current no additional need to approve GPS
devices or GNSS Logger devices for HOLC, the Hanggliding/Paragliding
section of OLC.
Please do not ask "the officials" like DHV, SHV, Aeroclub, DAEC,
FAI ... for recommended GPS products, recommended manufacturer
at the market. We will not answer this question as we have a
neutral position to it.
Basic, everything can be used if your GPS meets the Competition
Rules ( downloadable from >>HOME<< ).
Short notes:
- The IGC File *must* contain barometric OR satellite altitude
for longer track distances ( see competition rules for details
).
- The IGC File *must* contain at minimum every 60seconds 1
Trackpoint (simple like FAI spec).
- The IGC File *must* contain a Security Record (G Record).
Most Software developers give you Informations about supported
GPS types at Software download page.
